The objective of the SINCRO.GRID - Phase 1 project

The objective of the SINCRO.GRID - Phase 1 project is to provide for more efficient use of the existing electricity grid in Slovenia and Croatia, which will enable the existing infrastructure to accept larger quantities of electricity from renewable sources and ensure more reliable electricity supply.

    Dynamic Thermal Rating System

The purpose of the system for real-time and short-term forecast assessment of grid operating limits (SUMO), which is entirely the result of Slovenian knowledge, is to assess the marginal capacities of transmission grid components with the help of dynamic thermal rating, and in this way provide for better utilisation of transmission lines.
