The objective of the SINCRO.GRID project

The objective of the SINCRO.GRID project is to provide for more efficient use of the existing electricity grid in Slovenia and Croatia, which will enable the existing infrastructure to accept larger quantities of electricity from renewable sources and ensure more reliable electricity supply.

    Dynamic Thermal Rating System

    The purpose of the system for real-time and short-term forecast assessment of grid operating limits (SUMO), which is entirely the result of Slovenian knowledge, is to assess the marginal capacities of transmission grid components with the help of dynamic thermal rating, and in this way provide for better utilisation of transmission lines.

    Virtual Cross-border Control Centre (VCBCC)

    The Virtual Cross-border Control Centre will enable voltage control and loss optimisation in transmission systems, and improve supervision and forecasting of electricity generation from renewable sources. At the same time, it will contribute to the introduction of new flexibility sources.
