On Monday, 11 December 2017, the 2nd Central European Day of Energy was held in Brussels, organised by the CEEP (Central Europe Energy Partners) association and the Directorate-General for Energy of the European Commission. Those attending were initially welcomed by Dominique Ristori, Director-General of the Directorate-General for Energy, and Leszek Jesień, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CEEP. Maroš Šefčovič, Vice-President of the European Commission responsible for the Energy Union, spoke about the Energy Union as a platform for innovations and technological advancement.
At a panel intended for the presentation of energy projects by companies and research institutions in Central and Eastern Europe, three energy projects were presented. One of these was the SINCRO.GRID project, which was presented by Mate Lasić, Head of Development and Head of the SINCRO.GRID project at HOPS.
